COVID 19 has affected strongly to the tourism industry. Currently, Vietnam has a total of 324 cases with 267 already recovered and 0 death.

Vietnam did a good job to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the beginning when the country first heard from China. Therefore, the good preparation leads Vietnam to handle the spread perfectly.

Up to 36 days, Vietnam has no new cases from the virus, locals’ life is getting back normal. The country has decided to boost the economy step by step especially the tourism industry.

Vietnam is a well-known country in SEA to international travelers with over 18 million international arrivals yearly. North to South of the country always welcome many tourists with the diversity of tourist destinations such as Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Phong Nha, Hue, Danang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Dalat, Can Tho, Me Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, etc…


Nguyen Trung Khanh, director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), said the industry is preparing plans to welcome visitors from countries and territories that have responded effectively to the pandemic.

Mr.Khanh – Chairman at VNAT said ” case the pandemic is contained by September in some key source markets, VNAT will propose relaxing restrictions and the re-launching of promotions to attract visitors from these markets. “If this happens, Southeast and Northeast Asia will be the first markets to be targeted by VNAT’s promotion programs in the fourth quarter.” – Source at Vnexpress.com


The tourism administration stated that it was preparing plans to welcome foreign tourists in anticipation of recovery and disease control in key markets like South Korea, mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and several ASEAN members.
