Hanoi Flag Tower

Hanoi flag tower was built in the reign time of Gia Long King belonging to the Nguyen dynasty in the South area of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. The flag tower is 41m in height with three platforms and a pole. The square platforms are arranged respectively to lessen from the bottom to the top with the surrounding ashlar facing stone. Besides, the peak of the tower is an eight-sided room with eight windows corresponding to eight directions, offering enough space for six people standing inside. “Nghenh huc”, “Hoi Quang”, and “Huong Minh” are alternately engraved on the eastern, western, and southern doors of the tower. At the northern door, there are two stairs on the left and the right-hand side.

Ba Thien Hau Pagoda in Sai Gon

Ba Thien Hau pagoda was constructed by the Chinese over 300 years ago. It lies at 710 Nguyen Trai street, 5 District in Sai Gon. It is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Lady of The Sea, who is also known as Mazu. Thien Hau is a deity of Traditional Chinese religion, who is revered in the southern maritime provinces of China and in overseas Chinese communities.

It is easy for tourists to realize that the pagoda is quite pensive with the first see. Entering the temple, we can see the legend of Thien Hau Thanh Mau and the pictures about her appearances.
